Batteries these days have proprietary crap in them that only allows genuine Sony over priced batteries to work in their equipment. Save your money and buy these. Both the batteries work great. I haven't tested them yet for how long they last but with a higher 2200 mAh then the stock 1600 mAh, it should theoretically last longer. The only down side to these batteries is that the camera needs a little bump to get the batteries out. Its not because the batteries are bigger then stock, because their not, its because the electrical pins from the camera that fit into the batteries are a bit tight. I over time this should loosen up a bit or I might just fix it myself by making the fittings in the batteries larger with an all. Not a deal breaker. They are going in my new grip anyways as soon as it arrives. :o) Oh, the charger works great also. The bonus I think is that it is also... They actually out perform the battery that came with the camera. I can get an average of 200 more shots with them. The 12v car adapter is a nice added touch also. I have not had the chance to use it yet though, no need with 2 extra batteries. I run out of memory card before I do batteries now! I was scared that the battery wouldn't fit in my camera or last long enough. Holy Cow! Let me tell you what, this battery lasted longer than the battery that came with my camera! I spent 5 hours taking pictures of the bride and bridesmaids and decided to change batteries before the ceremony because there was only 19% left on the old battery. Slapped in the new battery and took pictures at the ceremony and reception. When I got home that night and checked the battery it still had 40%. I think I could have used this one battery all day or I could have kept shooting till after midnight! Very pleased with this purchase!!
