In all fairness it's not their fault but the manufacturer of the battery. They tell me that they have since changed the product and now the battery does work; Tommy said that fifty-four people had placed orders since I had (they said that they had addressed the problem immediately after my review) and as of today they have had no complaints. The company is responsive and fair willing to work with me at a resolution. In the end I took a credit for the battery since I am very pleased with the charger which so far has charged more quickly than the Sony charger which came with my Sony SLT-A55V camera. The battery did not hold a charge. I was contacted by the seller trying to fix my experience with the product and the company. They persuaded me to change my feedback and promised to send the same package I had originally ordered. I offered to mail back the faulty product they said it wasn't necessary. I did speak with a very polite man and appreciated his time and effort. However I received a new battery replacement and at the time I didn't think much about not receiving the same package I originally ordered, I was just glad to get a battery that would work. Sadly the second battery also doesn't hold a charge.
